An Evening with Henry Collins and Gary Hernandez

Thursday October 12th, 6pm. Questions from the audience from 7.30pm. Branning Atrium.

The artist behind 140 Blindfolded Drawings of EastEnders Characters recreates his now infamous interview with reporter Gary Hernandez. Sparks will fly in what will surely be a gladiatorial meeting of the minds. Collins will be available for a short time afterwards to sign copies of his book. Refreshments provided.


Dealing with Loss: The Coker Insight

Fridays 13th, 20th and 27th October at 6pm. Slater Suite.

Philanthropist and undertaker Billy Mitchell gives a series of talks on how to deal with bereavement, grief, and drug-addled employees stealing from dead customers.

Halloween Fun Day for Kids

Sunday 29th October in the main foyer, between the hours of 3 and 6pm.

It’s that spooky time of year of again! The ghoulish team at Walford Contemporary have put together a terrifying timetable of arty Halloween fun! Discover the true meaning of the season through interpretive dance workshops and finger-painting inspired by your choice of multi-disciplinary practitioners! …Woooooooo!

Food of my Fathers: The Linguistics of Cuisine in a Half-Century of Trinidadian Diaspora

Monday November 6th, 18:00. Slater Suite. Entrance free

Local resident Patrick Truman presents a series of photographs taken from his childhood in Trinidad through to his tumultuous early years in East London. Truman uses a selection of homemade sensory stimuli to conjure up the sights, smells and tastes of 1960’s Walford. Refreshments provided.
